Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification.

If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Course Description

The Advanced Open Water Course is fun and exciting! Focus is on in-water experience to get you more comfortable and knowlegable in doing deeper dives (100' / 30m), underwater navigation with and without a compass, and four other areas you are interested in. You read the theory part in the comfort of your home, hotel, or beach if you prefer, and then we will discuss the particular section before each dive.

Prerequisites

PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)

Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

Cost

$450 basic cost (tuition and notes) boat fees and gear hire (discounted, if needed) are extra.

Common Questions

How long will it take?

Depending on the options you chose, 1 day of boat diving and 1 day of shore, or two days on the boat. There are no exams for the Advanced Open Water course. It is a diving experience course supported by knowledge development using the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Manual.
