BSAC Courses
Our sister branch Dive HQ Hibiscus Coast is proud to be New Zealands only BSAC Training and Technical centre.

BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club) is the world's largest diving club. BSAC is one of the most respected diving organisations in the world with a reputation for the excellence of its diver training programme.
Formed in 1953 to promote underwater sport, exploration, science and safety to the highest standards, it quickly became a significant force in sports diving and by the end of 1954 it had been recognised in Britain as the governing body for the new sport of underwater swimming, a responsibility which it still retains.
BSAC has now grown to a network of over 300 BSAC Centres in more than 50 countries, providing them with facilities for enjoying their diving, and for further training.

Dive HQ Hibiscus Coast offers the following range of BSAC Technical courses:
BSAC Accelerated Decompression Diver
As a BSAC Accelerated Decompression diver you will be taught how to: Plan and conduct dives requiring mandatory decompression using nitrox gas mixes for the dive time of not more than 36% oxygen when using BSAC Ox-stop decompression tables or 50% when using a multi-mix programmable dive computer. You will also learn how to plan and conduct dives using nitrox gas mixes of up to 80% oxygen as decompression gases to accelerate decompression.
BSAC Sports Mixed Gas Diver
Educates BSAC Sports Divers with Advanced Nitrox training on how to conduct dives to a maximum depth limit of 50 metres. The dives will be conducted using a gas mixture of oxygen percentage greater than or equal to 20% and a helium percentage of up to 30%, for example, 20/30. This will teach you how to plan and conduct dives requiring mandatory decompression.
BSAC Explorer Mixed Gas Diver
Aimed at BSAC Sports Mixed Gas Divers who wish to extend your depth. This will allow dives to a maximum depth limit of 60 metres and conduct dives breathing a gas mixture of oxygen percentage greater than or equal to 18% and a helium percentage of up to 35%, for example 18/35.BSAC Advanced Mixed Gas Diver
