AMAZING CAREER PROSPECTS & OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
“I completed my Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction course in 2003. The course included everything I needed to walk directly from graduation into my dream job as a PADI Dive Instructor at a dive resort on Mexico’s Caribbean Coast! Diving every day, seeing amazing underwater scenery, marine life and Mexico’s famous Cenote’s this is still one of my favorite memories.
After years working as a Dive Instructor and then becoming a PADI Course Director, I am now the PADI Regional Manager - My job is to support Dive Professionals and PADI Retail and Resort Association members by passing all the knowledge gained in my diving career along with my enthusiasm for our industry and environment to help them become more successful.
I highly recommend anyone thinking of a career in the dive industry to complete the Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction course, as it provides an incredible base of knowledge and skill to kick start an amazing life, where the ocean really does become your office!”

WHAT OUR ACADEMY OF DIVING STUDENTS SAY...
“The highlights for me were definitely the trips. Being able to travel around, diving some of the most well regarded dive sites in the country, such as the Rainbow Warrior and Canterbury Wrecks and the Poor Knights. That’s one of the great things about being in Auckland.
Spending field trips away as a group every few weeks was a good way to unwind and escape for a few days at a time. The HMNZ Canterbury wreck was incredible. Descending down into 20m+ visibility with dolphins circling us is certainly an experience I will never forget.
Another highlight was Northern Arch out at the Poor Knights. It’s almost too hard to describe what it is really like. Being down around 30m and looking up and clearly being able to see the birds flying above the surface is a surreal feeling.
Diving really does open up a whole new world to you.
The I.E (PADI instructor’s exam) itself was in a strange way actually a highlight of the year, too. After the anticipation for 9 months, it was by far the climax of the year and it was so satisfying to qualify and to have everyone in my group do so well too was a pretty cool feeling."
